Lafayette General Medical Center Plans $50M Expansion

Lafayette (La.) General Medical Center is planning a $50 million expansion, according to an Acadiana Business report.

The 86,000-square-foot expansion will include a new emergency department and the expansion of the surgical department. The plans also include the renovation of the current ED and addition of a six-story parking garage.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by fall 2014, according to the report.
