Together, the organizations will deliver high-quality healthcare to Saudi Aramco’s employees and their families, according to a news release. The joint venture, called the Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare Company, will begin operations in February 2014.
Throughout more than 80 years, Saudi Aramco has established comprehensive healthcare system for its employees and their beneficiaries, and it was also instrumental in building one of the first hospitals in Saudi Arabia, according to the release.
“Together, we will be greater than the sum of our parts, because this joint venture combines Saudi Aramco’s existing health system with the transformative science, clinical care and education that Johns Hopkins is known for,” Paul B. Rothman, MD, dean of the medical faculty and CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine, said in the release.
