WellStar Health System in Georgia Breaks Ground on $135M Expansion

Marietta, Ga.-based WellStar Health System has broken ground on a $135 million new hospital and medical office building in Hiram, Ga., according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution report.

The new hospital will replace WellStar Paulding Hospital in Dallas, Ga., and will include 56 private rooms, an emergency department, a women’s imaging center and a cancer center. The 83,000-square-foot medical office building will connect to an existing office building and the new hospital.

The hospital is expected to be completed by April 2014.
