Kapiolani Medical Center in Hawaii Unveils $800M Expansion Plan

Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu has unveiled its plans for an $800 million expansion project, according to a KITV report.

According to the report, the hospital will eventually increase its number of beds from 207 to 243. The hospital’s newborn ICU unit will also feature 70 new private rooms. The expansion project also includes a 17-floor garage and additional space for meetings and conferences.

The expansion project is expected to begin in 2014.
