Huntsville Hospital in Alabama Seeks New Hearing on Crestwood’s Angioplasty CON

Huntsville (Ala.) Hospital is seeking a new hearing on the certificate of need for Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Ala., according to a Huntsville Times report.

Crestwood Medical Center received a CON to establish a permanent elective angioplasty program in April, following months of opposition from Huntsville Hospital. Huntsville Hospital is asking the CON board to reconsider its decision to ensure Crestwood follows American College of Cardiology angioplasty guidelines for hospitals without on-site surgery, according to the report.
