Most of the services deal with psychotherapy; others deal with catheterization, immunization administration and tobacco and smoking counseling services. CMS does not propose to accept the panel’s suggestion to move to general supervision inhalation treatment for acute airway obstruction.
CMS will field comments on its preliminary decision emailed to HOPSupervisionComments@cms.hhs.gov through May 19. The agency expects to make a final ruling on the proposed changes to outpatient service supervision by July 1.
