The proposed 164-bed StoneSpring Medical Center is expected to cost $195 million to build.

HCA has been trying to win approval for the hospital for more than a year. Inova Health System, who operates a competing facility in the county, opposed the new facility, but announced that it would not oppose the state’s most recent decision, according to the report.

HCA now need the Loudoun Board of Supervisors to approve the facility before construction can begin. The hospital is expected to be completed in 2015.
