Governors Create Task Force to Help States Redesign Healthcare Delivery

The National Governors Association has announced the formation of a Health Care Sustainability Task Force.

The National Governors Association is a public policy organization. The governors of the 55 states, territories and commonwealths are its members.

The task force will focus on assisting governors redesign healthcare delivery and payment systems while retaining flexibility to implement federal legislative or regulatory measures. The task force will share state experiences and best practices to assist the redesign.

Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber and Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam will serve as co-chairs of the Task Force.
