“TMH experienced a disruption in our technology systems affecting the computer network and phone — this is not related to a cyber event,” the hospital said in a Facebook post early Dec. 19.

“Our teams have taken immediate action to ensure the safety of our patients and have gone into standard downtime procedures. Colleagues have attempted to reach all scheduled patients with updates on surgeries and procedures.”

A spokesperson for the hospital told the Tallahassee Democrat that staff members are reaching out to patients to reschedule surgeries and procedures.

The 772-bed hospital and its physician practices remain operational and are accepting patients, though some ambulances are being diverted to other hospitals.

The health system anticipates it will resume full operations in 12 to 48 hours.

Becker’s has reached out to Tallahassee Memorial and will update this story if more information becomes available.
