The 30-day delay will give community officials the opportunity to analyze the closure and provide alternatives.

The health system had planned to convert the hospital to an ambulatory care center in response to financial troubles.

According to the report, the planned closure resulted in a "public outcry" from the local community, prompting Temple officials to delay the closure.
