Cigna inks expanded contract with Tenet

Cigna penned a multiyear contract with Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, building on their continued relationship and expanding it.

According to the Sept. 2 announcement, the new contract extends the companies’ relationship through 2025. The agreement keeps Tenet’s hospitals, facilities and ambulatory services through United Surgical Partners International in-network for Cigna members. 

“This agreement builds on our long-standing efforts to ensure millions of Cigna customers can access affordable, quality care from the skilled providers of Tenet Healthcare,” said Mike Triplett, president of U.S. commercial for Cigna. “Together, we will continue to enhance the healthcare experience for patients while improving the health, well-being and peace of mind of the communities we serve.”
