Baptist Health System in Texas to Build New Hospital, Pediatric Network

San Antonio-based Baptist Health System announced plans to build a comprehensive pediatric network featuring a new children’s hospital.

Baptist Health System, which is owned by Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanguard Health Systems, is partnering with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on a proposal for the pediatric network and new hospital for state and local officials.

The network will include ambulatory sites in the San Antonio area and will incorporate inpatient care delivery at Baptist Health System’s North Central Baptist Hospital, according to the release. The health system also plans to work with local physicians to create the network.
