Children’s Medical Center in Dallas Begins $130M Renovation Project

Children’s Medical Center in Dallas announced the start of a roughly $130 million renovation project.

The renovations will encompass 208,000 square feet and will help the hospital meet increasing patient demand. The project will include 48 additional inpatient beds; the Lung and Airway Center of Excellence; a gym for speech, occupational and physical therapy; an expanded Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders with a new eight-bed inpatient unit and a day hospital featuring an infusion area; an expanded Heart Center with a new operating room and catheterization lab suite; a new MRI; and 12 additional cardiovascular intensive care patient rooms.

The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2014.
