With the support of administration and management, the program and process was created through multi-department involvement and data-driven decision-making. By involving all levels of staff and various departments, Willis-Knighton Health System established a unified approach to decreasing patient wait times by using new technology to improve communication throughout the hospital. This new process enabled Willis-Knighton Health System to decrease patient wait times and improve overall patient satisfaction.
For its efforts, the health system received the Best Practice Partner Award from Courtemanche & Associates, a healthcare consulting firm based in Charlotte, N.C.
