The center will be expanded to 20,255 square feet from its current 15,000 square feet. Other improvement will include 32 private patient rooms (which will replace curtained treatment bays) and the region’s only decontamination unit which will allow isolated care for those injured in explosions or chemical spills.
The expansion project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2014, according to the medical center.
