Cardinal Health Spins Off Medical Device Division, Carefusion

Cardinal Health has completed the spinoff of its medical device division, now a separate company, based in San Diego, called CareFusion Corp., according to a Cardinal Health release.

Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health will now focus on its core business — supplying medical and pharmaceutical products.

CareFusion’s products include Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis automated dispensing systems and hand-held bar code technology, the MedMined electronic infection surveillance system, AVEA respiratory care products and ChloraPrep skin preparation products.
