California Children’s Hospital Opens New Inpatient Pavilion, Pediatric Surgery Center

Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, Calif., will soon open a new, $200 million inpatient pavilion and pediatric surgery center, according to a report by the Press-Telegram.

The 124,000 square-foot expansion has been under development for three years and is expected to begin accepting patients in early December. The expanded facility will have the most pediatric beds of any hospital in the state, according to the report.

The expanded facility is expected to continue to add additional services, such as expanded hematology and oncology services, as the hospital receives additional funding.
