1. Seattle-based Swedish Medical Center opened the new $11 million True Family Women’s Cancer Center at the Swedish Cancer Institute.

2. Rockville, Md.-based Adventist HealthCare broke ground on the Aquilino Cancer Center at its Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville.

3. Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, Conn., will break ground on a new $34.5 million cancer center as part of its recent partnership with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

4. Community Cancer Center in Normal, Ill., a joint venture of Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal and OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Ill., is planning a $10 million expansion and renovation project.

5. Marshall Medical Centers in Guntersville and Boaz, Ala., is planning an $8.6 million cancer center.

6. Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J., broke ground on a $100 million expansion of its Cooper Cancer Institute.

7. Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge (La.) is planning a $15 million cancer treatment center.

8. Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking permission to expand its initial proposed cancer center with a $29.1 million investment, which would bring the total cost to more than $94 million.
