Nashville, Tenn.-based Ascension Saint Thomas is entering a joint venture with PathPoint Health to expand metabolic care services in central Tennessee.

The joint venture will begin with two locations — one in Nashville near Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown and another in Murfreesboro near Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford — scheduled to open by June 2025.

The facilities will offer treatment for metabolic conditions such as obesity and diabetes, with services including nutrition planning, medical care and lifestyle counseling. Patients will be able to access care both in person and virtually.

Additional sites are expected to open across  central Tennessee within the next one to three years, according to an April 8 news release.

Ascension Saint Thomas is part of St. Louis-based Ascension, a health system that operates 136 hospitals across 15 states.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
