The new Sanford Fargo (N.D.) Medical Center will be able to accommodate more than 4,200 patients daily, with 460 beds, 12 heart catheterization labs and interventional rooms, 32 operating rooms and 51 emergency department bays.
At more than 1.3 million square feet, the project will require approximately 600 construction workers. When completed in 2016, the medical center will create 2,000 full-time, permanent positions, and by 2018, the center will include more than 260 practicing physicians, according to the release.
