Christiana Care Health System Completes Structure of $210M Expansion

Wilmington, Del.-based Christiana Care Health System has completed the structure of the $210 million expansion of its Wilmington Hospital, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report.

The top beam was placed on the building yesterday, marking a milestone in its project that is scheduled to be completed in 2014.

The 386,000-square-foot facility will include a patient tower and plaza; a 51,000-square-foot medical office building; 60 new patient rooms; a new emergency department with 16 treatment rooms; and three new operating rooms.
