The new 15-room facility is part of the health system’s Health & Wellness Center, parts of which are still under construction. The center’s laboratory and radiology imaging center, however, are open and offer outpatient diagnostic testing in addition to ED services.

The center’s LifeStyles medically-based fitness center and community conference center are scheduled to open in July. Akron General Health System will also build a $7 million medical office building adjacent to the center.
