Akron Children’s Hospital in Ohio Announces $200M Expansion

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital is launching a $200 million expansion project to accommodate growing patient demand and services.

The centerpiece of the expansion is a critical care tower, which will house a new neonatal intensive care unit, a new emergency department, outpatient surgical suites and space for pediatric subspecialty programs.

Construction will begin in the spring of 2013 and will be completed in 2015.
