Adventist Files for CON for New Maryland Hospital

Adventist Healthcare, based in Rockville, Md., has filed for a certificate of need for a new 100-bed hospital in Clarksburg, Md., according to a report in the Washington Business Journal.

In addition to the hospital, the 60-acre site would include medical office buildings for physicians and outpatient services, a nursing home and a day care center, according to the report.

The site has now received all major land-use approvals from the county, including traffic and environmental approvals, and construction can begin as soon as Adventist receives final site plan and state approval.

Adventist plans to develop the site with other healthcare providers, according to the report.
