Midland Memorial joined forces with Fort Worth, Texas-based Cook Children’s Healthcare System, Lubbock, Texas-based Covenant Children’s Hospital and Sunrise, Fla.-based Pediatrix Medical Group according to a Sept. 1 news release from Cook Children’s.

Pediatrix Medical Group — a clinical specialist group that uses research, training and quality initiatives to optimize patient care — has collaborated with Cook Children’s and Covenant Children’s in the past, and Cook’s and Covenant have collaborated since 2018. These partnerships have allowed the hospitals to provide a higher quality of care in the region, according to the release.

“For more than 20 years, we have collaborated to provide the highest quality neonatal care for the most vulnerable infants in West Texas,” Mike Dwyer, MD, market president of Pediatrix Medical Group, said in the release. “We look forward to extending these services to Midland to ensure families of critically ill and preterm babies have access to the specialized care they need.”
