14 States Get CMS Grants for Health Coverage Assistance Program

CMS has awarded 14 states and the District of Columbia $127,000 each to strengthen programs that help consumers in enroll in health plans, as well as file complaints and appeals, according to an AHA News Now report.

Here are the 14 state recipients of the grant money.

1.    Connecticut
2.    Maine
3.    Maryland
4.    Michigan
5.    Mississippi
6.    Missouri
7.    Nevada
8.    New Mexico
9.    New York
10.    North Carolina
11.    Oklahoma
12.    Oregon
13.    Pennsylvania
14.    Vermont

The grants will help the states continue to expand a consumer assistance program already in place.
