Saint Luke’s Hospital in Missouri Opens Thoracic Center

Kansas City, Mo.-based Saint Luke’s Health System announced the opening of a new thoracic center at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City.

Saint Luke’s Thoracic Center brings existing services together under one roof to coordinate care and improve patients’ access to treatment. A multidisciplinary team evaluates and treats patients with problems such as possible lung cancer, chronic lung infections and mediastinal disease.

The center also includes a nurse coordinator to facilitate communication between patients and providers, schedule appointments and procedures and provide education and emotional support.
