Harrison Medical Center in Washington Builds Orthopedic Hospital

Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Wash., announced the ground breaking of a new orthopedic hospital.

The 54,000-square-foot Harrison Orthopaedic Hospital at Silverdale will be built adjacent to the existing campus and will include four dedicated orthopedic operating rooms, 16 ortho-dedicated pre- and post-surgical rooms, 24 private patient rooms, space for 24 additional rooms in the future and a rehabilitation gym.

The number of people needing orthopedic care in the county is expected to increase by 20 percent over the next five years, according to the report.
