Use of this system will now allow physicians to work on one machine, and it also offers a lower radiation dose and an increased soft tissue contrast compared with PET/CT scanners, the release said.
The release also states the PET/MRI system could give physicians more insight into a patient’s condition due to the high-detail images of an MRI scan.
