7 hospitals earning cardiac accreditations, designations

Here are seven hospitals that recently earned cardiac care designations or accreditations:

  1. Beckley, W.Va.-based Raleigh General Hospital was awarded Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation with percutaneous coronary intervention by the American College of Cardiology.

  2. Kansas City, Mo.-based St. Luke's Hedrick Medical Center earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval and the American Heart Association's Heart-Check Mark for Acute Heart Attack Ready Certification.

  3. Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences was awarded echocardiography accreditation for its cardiac noninvasive laboratory by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.

  4. Central Carolina Hospital's Heart Failure Program received reaccreditation from the American College of Cardiology.

  5. Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System's Cardiac and Vascular Institute was awarded a Heart Failure with an Outpatient Services designation by the American College of Cardiology.

    The system's Adult Congenital Heart Disease program was designated an accredited Comprehensive Care Center by the Adult Congenital Heart Association.

    The system's Memorial’s Ventricular Assist Device program was accredited by The Joint Commission for the 10th consecutive year.

  6. Dalton, Ga-based Vitruvian Health's Hamilton Medical Center was awarded Chest Pain Center Accreditation with primary percutaneous coronary intervention by the American College of Cardiology.

  7. St. Mary, Ohio-based Grand Lake Health System was awarded a Heart Failure Advanced Certification from Det Norske Veritas.
