58 cardiologists, cardiology leaders on the move in 2024

Here are 58 cardiologists and cardiology leaders stepping into new roles in 2024:

  1. Lewiston-based Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute added Jared Tobolski, MD, to its cardiology staff.

  2. Cardiology Associates of Schenectady in Clifton Park, N.Y., part of St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates, added Katherine Riedy-Graves, MD.

  3. Houston-based Texas Children's Heart Center named Daniel Penny, MD, executive co-director of the heart center. He will be joined by Caner Salih, MD, as executive co-director.

  4. The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson appointed Hesham Sadek, MD, PhD, director of the Sarver Heart Center and chief of the division of cardiology.

  5. Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Nashua's cardiovascular medicine department added Zhihang Zhang, MD, to its cardiology team.

  6. Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Hamilton Cardiovascular Institute welcomed Anand Kenia, MD, as chief of cardiac electrophysiology.

  7. MemorialCare appointed Nissi Suppogu, MD, medical director of its new Women's Heart Center in Long Beach, Calif. 

  8. Nisha Parikh, MD, was named the system director of the Women's Heart Program for Northwell Health's Cardiovascular Institute and the Katz Institute for Women's Health, both based in New York City.

  9. Ashville, N.C.-based AdventHealth Medical Group welcomed cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon R. Duane Cook, MD, to its team.

  10. AdventHealth Hendersonville (N.C.) added Eduardo Balcells, MD, to serve as medical director of cardiology.

  24. Laguna Hills, Calif.-based MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center named Michael Krychman, MD, medical director of women’s health services.

  25. Raleigh, N.C.-based Independence Health System welcomed Justin Wallace, MD, to its team.

  26. Los Angeles-based Keck Medicine of USC named Sukgu Han, MD, chief of the division of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy.

  27. Maui, Hawaii-based Pacific Permanente Group welcomed interventional cardiologist Jason Call, MD.

  28. Rohinton Morris, MD, chief of the cardiothoracic surgery division at Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health, will become Tower Health's cardiothoracic surgery chief on April 15.
