Valley Health unveils $800M New Jersey hospital

Ridgewood, N.J.-based Valley Health System held a ribbon cutting March 22 for its new $800 million hospital in Paramus, N.J.

The Valley Hospital in Paramus comprises 370 beds, single-patient rooms, an expanded emergency department and larger operating rooms, according to a March 22 news release. 

Once the hospital opens on April 14, Valley Health System’s Ridgewood (N.J.) campus will transition from an inpatient facility to an outpatient facility. 

The Ridgewood campus will comprise outpatient laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, endoscopy services, a recovery and wellness center, a community care clinic and the Valley Breast Center. 

Patients will be transferred from the Ridgewood hospital to the Paramus hospital prior to its opening on April 14. 

The new hospital is 2.5 miles from the existing Ridgewood campus.
