UPMC Altoona to open $20M outpatient center

UPMC Altoona (Pa.) began constructing a $20 million outpatient facility in Ebensburg, Pa., slated to open in early 2018.

The three-story, 46,500-square-foot building will feature lab and imaging services, therapy services and a community room available to local nonprofits. UPMC-affiliated specialists in heart and vascular, ear, nose and throat and gastroenterology will visit the facility on a rotating schedule.   

The third floor of the facility will house Sharon, Pa.-based Primary Health Network’s family medicine specialists, outpatient behavioral health services and pharmacy services.
