HackensackUMC and LHP Hospital Group plan to reopen the 128-bed acute-care hospital as HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley in mid-2013.
Construction on the former hospital follows a nearly four-year long battle with Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J., and Englewood (N.J.) Hospital and Medical Center, which opposed the reopening.
Pascack Valley Hospital filed for bankruptcy and closed in 2007.
