The de novo acute care hospitals include:
- West Henderson Hospital in Las Vegas (150 beds; opening in fall 2024)
- Alan B. Miller Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. (150 beds; opening in fall 2025)
- Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, D.C. (136 beds; opening in fall 2025)
The 96-bed Southridge Behavioral Hospital in West Michigan — a joint venture with Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health — is expected to open in 2024.
CHS also has 24 operational freestanding emergency departments, with three more expected to open over the next six months, Mr. Filton said, Nine other freestanding emergency departments have also been approved and are in various stages of development.
Second-quarter revenue from UHS’ acute care services was up 9.7 percent year over year on a same facility basis, while revenue from its behavioral health services increased by 7.8 percent, according to the health system. Total revenue increased 6.8 percent to $3.5 billion in the second quarter, compared to $3.3 billion during the same period in 2022.
