The 200,000-square-foot, six-story outpatient building would house clinics, a pharmacy, imaging services and procedure rooms.
A bridge would connect the outpatient building to its main 462-bed hospital.
The health system said the project would help it “provide selected outpatient services in a more efficient manner than is currently possible, given the hospital’s space constraints,” according to the report.
The project still needs approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.
