The expanded emergency unit will feature a new flex intensive care unit and observation unit.

The addition is part of a larger 41,000-square-foot expansion launched in 2021, according to an April 27 Uptown Consortium news release.

The expanded capacity will increase patient volume by 10 percent to 15 percent.
