The $50 million expansion features 110,000 square feet of added space and expands the facility to eight stories. The expansion will allow greater capacity, specialized services and staff levels at TMC.
In addition, the first floor ED will double from 24 beds to 48 beds, house a 16-bed chest pain unit, two additional trauma rooms and tomography and imaging suites, the report states. The second floor will include TMC’s 52-bed intensive care unit, with a new neonatal ICU on the third floor and additional medical and surgical beds. The fourth floor will be used for future expansion.
