Maryland’s Peninsula Regional Medical Center to Break Ground on $18M OR Expansion

Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md., will begin an approximately $18 million expansion and renovation of its operating rooms on Jan. 16, according to a hospital news release.

The three-year project will expand each of the hospital’s 16 ORs from 400 square feet per room to 600 or more square feet, with four ORs to reach 800 square feet. PRMC will build a two-story, 17,520-square-foot addition to the current surgical services department and renovate 13,300 gross square feet of existing hospital space to house the larger ORs.
