Stamford (Conn.) Health will build a new cancer center and behavioral health facility as part of a $275 million expansion project.
Construction is expected to begin in 2027, according to a Stamford Health statement shared with Becker’s.
The new cancer center will increase patient capacity and operate in collaboration with Boston-based Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center.
As part of the project, the health system’s existing Bennett Cancer Center will be converted into a behavioral health facility with inpatient and outpatient care capacity, and the system’s Van Munching Inpatient Rehabilitation unit will be relocated within Stamford Hospital.
