South Carolina health system spends $55M to replace 70-year-old hospital

Spartanburg (S.C.) Regional Healthcare System officials broke ground on a $55 million replacement of 70-year-old Union (S.C.) Medical Center, local news outlet WYFF reported June 6.

The new three-story facility is four miles away from the current Union Medical Center. The campus will include a medical office building along with a hospital.c

The new medical center is expected to open in 2025.
