Sentara proposes $35M expansion of Princess Anne Hospital

Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare is seeking state approval for a $35 million expansion of 160-bed Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, Va., according to The Virginian-Pilot.

The two-story addition would add 14 medical and surgical beds to the facility.

According to the certificate of public need application, Sentara would like to open the additional wing by March 2018. The application also said the expansion will not impact the staffing of other facilities in the area, according to the report.

PrincessAnneHospital is a joint venture between Sentara Healthcare and  Bon Secours Hampton Roads (Va.), with Sentara retaining 70 percent ownership, according to the report.
