Moses Lake, Wash.-based Samaritan opened a $225 million hospital in Moses Lake on March 7.
Samaritan Hospital comprises an emergency room, family birth center, medical surgical suites, intensive care unit and the Paul Lauzier Surgical and Infusion Center, according to the health system’s website.
“The cost of the new hospital is $225 million (inclusive of both infrastructure and equipment), with an additional $5 million in financing costs, bringing the total cost for the project to $230 million,” the system said.
Samaritan closed its former hospital on Wheeler Road once patient care began at 7 a.m. at the new hospital. The facility adds 30,000 square feet of space and comes after Samaritan Healthcare rebranded in late January to Samaritan.
