RWJBarnabas Health, Rutgers open $225M cancer center

On June 22, West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health and New Brunswick, N.J.-based Rutgers Cancer Institute opened the Melchiorre Cancer Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J.

The cancer center cost $225 million, according to a June 23 news release from RWJBarnabas Health.

The center has 52 exam rooms, 40 private infusion rooms, seven short-stay treatment and six extended-stay treatment spaces, clinical and retail pharmacies, a wellness center, a wig and prosthetic fitting studio and rooftop terrace.
