Phoenix Children's to build $135M hospital

Phoenix Children's plans to build a freestanding, three-story hospital in Glendale, Ariz.

The facility, Phoenix Children's Hospital – Arrowhead Campus, will house 24 inpatient beds, six operating rooms, two minor procedure rooms and 30 emergency bays. It also will have an outpatient surgery center and 45,000-square-foot medical office building.

The project is estimated to cost $134.7 million.

"Phoenix Children's is heavily investing in communities throughout the state to ensure families can access high-quality care for children, right in their own neighborhood," said Robert Meyer, Phoenix Children's president and CEO. "This need is especially pressing in the West Valley, where booming population growth has spiked the demand for pediatric health care services."
