PeaceHealth hospital gets $10M gift for new ED, pavilion

PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, Wash., has received a $10 million gift as part of its fundraising campaign.

Three notes:

1. The “Stronger Together” campaign has raised more than $100 million to expand and modernize care, according to an April 8 news release from Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth.

2. The $10 million gift comes from Fred Kaiser and Grace Borsari, co-founders of Alpha Technologies. The company’s success has helped transform Bellingham into a center for innovation and led to job creation and stronger economic development across the region, the release said.

3. The gift will support the creation of a unified emergency department, the Peter Paulsen Pavilion and a rooftop helipad. The campaign will also fund expanded childbirth, gynecological and pediatric services.
