The expansion was first announced in 2013 and slated for completion in 2021. However, the COVID-19 pandemic pushed back the opening date to this year.

As part of the opening, patients and equipment will transition from the Kingston-based HealthAlliance Broadway campus to the Mary’s Avenue campus. When the transition is complete, the Broadway campus will close.

The hospital now has a two-story, 79,000-square-foot structure comprising 175 new beds, a new 25,000-square-foot emergency room and a 10-bed intensive care unit.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
