Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health will soon open a new hospital in one of the fastest growing areas of the country.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco at PGA Parkway will be located within 24 miles of three of the five fastest-growing cities in the U.S., according to a June 27 news release from the health system. The 340,000 square-foot, 84-bed hospital is set to open later this summer. Baylor Scott & White did not immediately respond to a request seeking the exact opening.

Ryan Gebhart, president of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco at PGA Parkway, said in the release that the new medical center will be interconnected with the health system’s digital care options.

For example, at the hospital’s Center for Women and Infants, expectant mothers can use the MyBSWHealth app or website to connect to prenatal services, educational tools, and 24/7 access to virtual care. Then, upon arrival to the hospital, they will find a dedicated entrance, private elevator, and floor dedicated “exclusively for women, with an environment that reflects the hospital’s focus on comfort, dignity and privacy.”

The 40-acre campus will also offer communal green spaces, more than two miles of trails, health and wellness events and activities, with the goal to “blend high-quality care with community-centered innovation.”

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
