Missouri hospital receives $300K toward new surgery center

Houston, Mo.-based Texas County Memorial Hospital has been awarded $332,000 through the Delta Regional Authority, a federal-state grant for economic development, toward its new surgery center, Ozark Radio News reported Oct. 19.

The new center will have two operating rooms, an endoscopy suite, and presurgical prep and postoperative recovery. 

The DRA funds will go toward purchasing and installing the surgical equipment for the center. 

The hospital also recently received $1 million in American Rescue Plan Emergency Rural Healthcare funding for the center. 

The center is slated to open in 2023.
