Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System broke ground March 19 on the expansion of its Menard Center for Emergency Care in Eau Claire, Wis.
Funding for the expansion is due in part to a donation from the John and Fay Menard family, according to a March 19 LinkedIn post from the system.
Approximately 10,200 square feet of space will be added through a three-story addition to the ED. It will also include new patient treatment spaces. Construction is expected to kick off in April.
“Their support will help increase capacity and enhance access to high-quality emergency care for patients across the Chippewa Valley and surrounding communities,” the post said.
